If you use a modem to connect to the Internet, then you are using dial up Internet access (usually called dial up access). Your computer software automatically dials a telephone number via your modem which passes down the telephone cable to a modem at your ISP (Internet Service Provider). The ISP's modem connects you to their computer which has a permanent connection (leased line) to the Internet. So you are now connected to the Internet paying your telephone companies charges (usually local rate).

Skymarket Basic Dial-in and iSDN Access.

Our basic dial-in package offers connectivity using any modern modem including V.34 and K56-Flex. Using our national local-rate number you'll be connected straight onto our Internet backbone and enjoy fast and reliable access. The service includes 10 Mbytes of free web space, POP3 or ETRN/SMTP email. Our lines are constantly monitored for performance and up-time.

Skymarket Dual channel iSDN Access

Our ISDN package combines the features of basic dial-in access with the speed and convenience of ISDN. Access the net at 128Kbits/second. The dual-channel option allows almost a megabyte a minute of data to be delivered to your desk. Because of the short time it takes ISDN to dial us, you'll hardly notice you're not on a fixed connection.
